Holy Week 2023

As a reminder, the website is one of the last places we update any new information, you can find all events and info on our Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/StauntonFirstChurchofGod This year we are having our Maundy Thursday Service in-house on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 7pm. We tossed around the idea about going out into the community and renting space, but we are too large of a congregation to fit into any Staunton establishment during Easter Week. You can expect a time of prayer, creatively sharing in the Lord's Super, and participating in the ordinance of Foot-Washing (or hand-washing) with God's Church. For Easter, we are once more having our Sunrise Service at 6am outside the Church building. If the weather is clear we'll have it in the parking lot. If there is a slight drizzle, we'll be in the fellowship shelter. If there is a downpour, we will have it indoors. Dress appropriately for the temperature. Following the Sunrise Service, we'll go into the Family Life Center and enjoy in a carry-in Breakfast. Bring a breakfast dish to share!
